Analysis
Tunisia recorded 0.0172 Mt CO2e for methane (ch4) emissions from power industry (energy) in 2024.
That represents a change of up 1.8% on the previous year and down 1.7% over ten years.
Over the whole period, methane (ch4) emissions from power industry (energy) in Tunisia peaked at 0.0183 Mt CO2e in 2019 and was at its lowest, 0.0009 Mt CO2e, in 1970.
That places Tunisia 74th out of 194 countries with data for 2024, putting it in the middle of the range.
The series is highly variable year to year, so single readings are best treated with caution.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of methane (CH4), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from electricity and heat generation (subsector of the energy sector) including IPCC 2006 code 1.A.1.a. The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
