Analysis
In 2024, methane (ch4) emissions from industrial combustion (energy) in Djibouti stood at 0.0001 Mt CO2e. That is the lowest value across all 55 years on record.
The figure is unchanged over ten years.
Over the whole period, methane (ch4) emissions from industrial combustion (energy) in Djibouti peaked at 0.0004 Mt CO2e in 1970 and was at its lowest, 0.0001 Mt CO2e, in 1984.
Djibouti ranks 163rd of 193 countries on this measure, in the bottom quarter.
The series is highly variable year to year, so single readings are best treated with caution.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of methane (CH4), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from industrial combustion (subsector of the energy sector) including IPCC 2006 code 1.A.2 Manufacturing Industries and Construction. The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
