Analysis
Mongolia recorded 0.2848 Mt CO2e for methane (ch4) emissions from building (energy) in 2024.
That represents a change of up 0.7% on the previous year and up 38.5% over ten years.
Over the whole period, methane (ch4) emissions from building (energy) in Mongolia peaked at 0.3175 Mt CO2e in 2019 and was at its lowest, 0.0304 Mt CO2e, in 1998.
That places Mongolia 91st out of 197 countries with data for 2024, putting it in the middle of the range.
The series is highly variable year to year, so single readings are best treated with caution.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of methane (CH4), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the building sector (subsector of the energy sector) including IPCC 2006 codes 1.A.4 Residential and other sectors, 1.A.5 Non-Specified. The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
