Analysis
Armenia recorded 1.58 Mt CO2e for carbon dioxide (co2) emissions from power industry (energy) in 2024.
Compared with earlier readings it is up 0.2% on the previous year and up 39.6% over ten years.
Over the whole period, carbon dioxide (co2) emissions from power industry (energy) in Armenia peaked at 7.8 Mt CO2e in 1991 and was at its lowest, 0.6327 Mt CO2e, in 2010.
Armenia ranks 115th of 194 countries on this measure, in the middle of the range.
The series is highly variable year to year, so single readings are best treated with caution.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from electricity and heat generation (subsector of the energy sector) including IPCC 2006 code 1.A.1.a. The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
