South Korea vs Philippines: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- South Korea
- Philippines
How they compare
Philippines currently reports 1.52 Mt CO2e against 1.25 Mt CO2e in South Korea, a difference of 0.2703 Mt CO2e.
That makes Philippines's figure about 1.2 times South Korea's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was South Korea ahead.
Globally, South Korea ranks 24th and Philippines ranks 21st of 203 countries.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
