Democratic Republic of Congo vs Malaysia: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- Democratic Republic of Congo
- Malaysia
How they compare
Malaysia currently reports 0.5465 Mt CO2e against 0.4887 Mt CO2e in Democratic Republic of Congo, a difference of 0.0578 Mt CO2e.
That makes Malaysia's figure about 1.1 times Democratic Republic of Congo's.
The two have swapped places 3 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Democratic Republic of Congo ahead.
Globally, Democratic Republic of Congo ranks 44th and Malaysia ranks 41st of 203 countries.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
