Central African Republic vs Namibia: Methane (CH4) emissions from Waste
Methane (CH4) emissions from Waste over time
- Central African Republic
- Namibia
How they compare
Central African Republic currently reports 0.4427 Mt CO2e against 0.3565 Mt CO2e in Namibia, a difference of 0.0862 Mt CO2e.
That makes Central African Republic's figure about 1.2 times Namibia's.
Across all 55 years both countries report, Central African Republic has been ahead every year.
Globally, Central African Republic ranks 147th and Namibia ranks 150th of 203 countries.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of methane (CH4), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
